ZETTLER Relays – Application Spotlight, April 2019.
Munich, Germany 24. April 2019 – In the area of solar inverters and the required relays for disconnecting the system from the public grid, the requirements for maximum current carrying capacity have continued - since the introduction of the well-known ZETTLER AZSR190T series (100 ampere) solar relay - gone up.
The switching capacity of the relays is 160 or 180 amps. The special design of the load terminals ensures that the heat is removed from the relay and thus a long lifetime can be achieved. Further technical data are a contact gap of at least 3.2 mm (3.6 mm on request) and clearance and creepage distances of at least 10 mm. The withstand voltage is 4,000 Vrms between coil and contact and 2,000 Vrms between the open contacts on the AZSR1160 and 2,600 Vrms on the AZSR1180. A design for currents up to 200 amperes is currently under development.
Both versions are UL and TÜV approved.
