ZETTLER introduces the AZ160 relay series, a high-performance miniature power relay with a switching capacity of up to 60 amps. This compact relay offers outstanding electrical and mechanical properties for a wide range of industrial applications.

High performance in a compact design

The AZ160 was developed to offer maximum switching capacity with minimal space requirements. With a size of just 30,4 mm x 15,9 mm x 25,15 mm and a weight of 25 grams, this relay is ideal for applications where space is of the essence. The area required on the PCB is only 484 mm² thanks to the compact design. It has a dielectric strength of 4.5 kV_RMS and 10 kV impulse voltage resistance between coil / contact. The relays in the series have a normally open (1 Form A) contact that guarantees a contact gap of ≥ 0.8 mm.

Robust and reliable

Thanks to the robust design and the use of AgSnO2 (silver tin oxide) as the contact material, the AZ160 ensures a long service life and high reliability at high currents. It is suitable for a wide range of operating conditions and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. The series has common approvals such as TÜV, UL/CUR and CQC.

After the successful relay series AZEV116, AZEV132 and AZEV140 for e-mobility applications, the ZETTLER Group is now expanding the series with a two-pole version, the AZEV200. Like the other relays in the EV series, the relays have a signal contact for monitoring the load contacts. With the AZEV200, the signal contact is designed as a mirror contact in accordance with EN60947-4-1.

ZETTLER AZEV200 relays are 2-pole power PCB relays that have been specially developed for e-mobility applications and the extremely strict short-circuit strength requirements of the associated standards like IEC62955, IEC62752 and IEC62052-11.

These relays also have a monitoring contact to allow detection of any possible welding issues with the main contacts. The relays are approved at UL, CUR and TÜV with ratings of up to 40 A with 6k switching cycles (35 A with 50k switching cycles) for the normally open load contact and 10 mA at 12 VDC with 50k switching cycles for the normally closed monitoring contact.
